About Tim E.

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: White
  • Housetrained: Yes
Our first step is an application. If you are interested in any of our rescue dogs, go to our website at pueblocolliesheltie.org and THOROUGHLY read the Adoption Info section. If we sound like the right group for you, we invite you to submit an application after completing that section. We do not give our information about our dogs without an application. "Little Tim E. Moo-Bear" thinks he is a sheltie in Papillon clothing (and if you squint hard enough he IS!). Even at 10 years old, he certainly has the spirit of a sheltie! He was a pup from the first and only litter of novice breeders. They kept him because his mother had chewed his little umbilical cord too close to his belly, making an abdominal hernia. He received surgery for it at about eight months. In addition to this problem, Tim E. also developed a mouthful of mis-matched teeth that had gone bad and were making it difficult and most likely painful to eat. May 27th those teeth were removed (yes, ALL of them!), and he already has more spunk. Soon he will be going back onto a diet of dry food. When Tim E. came to his foster home, he adapted easily to the pack (and laps and bed, too). He has established himself as the boss of his own space, be it however small. He would do best with one or two older folks who are home most of the time, and he does well with a cat in the house. He would prefer, however, to be an only dog. Once he "adopts" you, you will have a very personal place in his heart. And once you see his beautiful, toothless grin, you will fall in love! If you would like this little gent to join your home, please first read our Adoption Info section and then submit an application.

Please begin the process for adoption by reading our Adoption Policies and, if we sound like the right group for you, fill out our online Adoption Application. From there, our receipt of your completed application will be confirmed by email. You then will receive a follow-up phone call if we feel you are a good potential applicant for the dog. Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process. We take dog adoption very seriously.  Please put a lot of thought into why you want to adopt a dog, and help us make a good match for your family. We appreciate your taking the time to visit with us. We will look forward to hearing from you as well.
