A COMPLETED APPLICATION IS OUR FIRST STEP TOWARD ANY PLACEMENT.  YOU WILL FIND THE ONLINE APP AT www.colliesheltierescue.org.  THERE ARE 10 PUPPIES IN THIS LITTER OF A NEWFOUNDLAND/BORDER COLLIE MIX MAMA.   YES, WE NOTICED THEY ARE NOT COLLIES OR SHELTIES BUT THEY NEEDED TO GO SOMEWHERE TO SURVIVIE.....

Jackson is a big strong shaggy 9-week-old Newfie mix puppy.  Of all the 10 pups in the litter, he most closely resembles the Newfoundland breed standard.  Like his mama, his coal black fur is long and lush.  As he grows, his coat will lengthen and get lustrous.  Right now, he is rolling around and rough-housing with his littermates and stays pretty mess looking.  (Please don't tell him I said that.)  He is a bundle of energy and is the first pup to run out the door to go potty and find something to play with.  He loves to play tug with a frisbee and any of his siblings.  All the pups eat Fromm large breed puppy kibble and are thriving on it.

All of Jackson's vet care is on us.  As he becomes old enough for additional vaccines and to be neutered, we will be in touch and pay for it all to be done at the veterinary clinic of your choice.  BUT, it will be done.  PERIOD.

Please begin the process for adoption by reading our Adoption Policies and, if we sound like the right group for you, fill out our online Adoption Application. From there, our receipt of your completed application will be confirmed by email. You then will receive a follow-up phone call if we feel you are a good potential applicant for the dog. Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process. We take dog adoption very seriously.  Please put a lot of thought into why you want to adopt a dog, and help us make a good match for your family. We appreciate your taking the time to visit with us. We will look forward to hearing from you as well.
