A COMPLETED APPLICATION IS OUR FIRST STEP TOWARD ANY PLACEMENT.  YOU WILL FIND THE ONLINE APP AT www.colliesheltierescue.org.  THERE ARE 10 PUPPIES IN THIS LITTER OF A  NEWFOUNDLAND/BORDER COLLIE MIX MAMA.   YES, WE NOTICED THEY ARE NOT COLLIES OR SHELTIES BUT THEY NEEDED SOMEWHERE TO GO TO SURVIVE.....

Lightfoot is the largest of the "singing puppies" litter at 16#.  He is a solid dog for a little guy and should grow up to be a grand adventure dog for hiking and outdoor adventures.  He also has a very sweet nature and really enjoys being cuddled.  Smart and happy.  As to what combo of breeds this kiddo may actually be, it is difficult to say.  But you will never be sorry you let him into your life!

All of Lightfoot's vet care is on us.  As he is old enough for additional vaccines and to be neutered, we will stay in touch and we will pay for it all to be done at the veterinary clinic of your choice.  BUT, it will be done.  PERIOD.

Please begin the process for adoption by reading our Adoption Policies and, if we sound like the right group for you, fill out our online Adoption Application. From there, our receipt of your completed application will be confirmed by email. You then will receive a follow-up phone call if we feel you are a good potential applicant for the dog. Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process. We take dog adoption very seriously.  Please put a lot of thought into why you want to adopt a dog, and help us make a good match for your family. We appreciate your taking the time to visit with us. We will look forward to hearing from you as well.
