I KNOW THAT IS A LOT BUT WE SCREEN CAREFULLY FOR THE SAKE OF THE DOGS. THEY DESERVE IT! "Shilo, when I was young, I used to call your name. When no one else would come, Shilo, you always came. And we'd play!" Neil Diamond Diamond Shilo is a 2-3 year old spayed female tri-colored rough Collie. She came to us from a municipal shelter on the western slope of Colorado. She is petite, weighing in at 52#. She is heartworm negative, has great baseline bloodwork and is completely vaccinated. Shilo is also housebroken and has lovely manners. Her grooming has been neglected for quite some time so we have done one complete brush-out so far. And our groomer will take over on Thursday and bathe and trim her until she looks like a "show dog." We will begin to accept applications for Shilo immediately. Her foster family would love to make her a part of their permanent pack. But if we all do that, we can't help the next dog that needs us. Therein, lies the rub.
