Kallie Ann is a 2 year old spayed female tri-colored Sheltie.  She is a bit timid when you first meet her but here it is the third day we have been together and she has become my new best friend.  She is housebroken and knows her basic commands well.  Becoming a member of a 7-dog stable pack can be daunting for a new arrival.  Initially, she sat back and watched to see where she would fit into the grouping.  She is not dominant nor is she submissive.  I do feed all the dogs separately so no pooch is intimidated.  

We will be looking for an active adult family for this little girl.  She would benefit from more activity than she has had recently.  Her mom and dad loved her and used treats to motivate her to do many things.  But here she is getting snuggles as reinforcement and smiles and ear rubs.  At 43#, she needs to drop 8-10# to be fit and to use her intelligence for fun activities like obedience or agility.  

Kallie Ann is a very healthy girl.  She is UTD on vaccines, heartworm negative and has normal blood chemistries and CBC.  She is also microchipped with a Home Again microchip that will be transferred to her new family when her adoption takes place.

From there, our receipt of your completed application will be confirmed by email. You then will receive a follow-up phone call if we feel you are a good potential applicant for the dog. Lots of good conversation with the foster family, a reference from your veterinarian, and a home visit round out the screening process.
